Return Policy - Love Your Boat Guarantee

 

 

We want you to love your boat. If it's not the right fit, we’ll help you sort it out. Within 30 days of receipt, you may submit a return request to receive a refund for your purchase.

* This policy applies only to items purchased on our site.

  • Contact Oru Kayak within 30 days of receiving your items to start your return process.
  • We only accept the return of products purchased from orukayak.com.  We do not accept policy returns from 3rd party distributors.
  • Outbound shipping charges on the original order are not refunded.
  • The customer is responsible for return shipping charges.

Exempt for return

  • Refurbished kayaks can not be refunded as they are discounted price due to aesthetic conditions that do not affect product performance.
  • Gift cards.
  • No item over 30 days will be eligible for a return/refund.
  • Damaged items due to misuse do not qualify for a return. Please see our Warranty Policy.

Restocking fee

If you decide to return a kayak within 30 days of receipt in good condition but it has been used or you no longer have the original package, we can accept your return but we charge up to a 10% restocking fee.

  • No restocking fee will apply if the package is open but the kayak is not used, its tags are intact and are in their original package.
  • a 10% restocking fee will apply if the kayak is clean and in good condition but has been used.

Step One: Initiating your return

  • All items can be returned for a refund, and we ask that your return is:
  • In original, undamaged condition.
  • Includes the original tags and packaging.
  • Initiated within 30 days.

If the Return meets the above criteria, you will receive a prepaid shipping label, for your return. The return shipping cost will be subtracted from the refund total. Visit our Return Center to complete a return request form. You will be asked for pictures and a brief explanation of why you decided to return the item.

Step Two: Returning your items

3 Easy Steps:

  1. Once your request is approved, you will receive an email confirmation with shipping guidelines. The email will include your RMA # and a prepaid shipping label.
  2. Please pack all the items listed in your RMA #. Make sure the products to be returned are in their original and undamaged condition, with all their tags attached
  3. Ship your items back to us with the label provided.  Make sure the shipping label, RMA#, and packing list are all attached to the outside of your shipping box to ensure fast processing.

Step Three: Processing your refund

If your return meets the criteria: The refund will be processed once the package is in transit, it can take 3 to 5 business days for your refund to be reflected on your account.

  • What should I do if I no longer have the original box?

You can send back the kayak in any other box approved by the carrier but you will be charged a 10% restocking fee.

  • Why do I need to include pictures?

We create a report for each return for analysis purposes to analyze what is being returned, and to check if it aligns with items listed in the RMA.

  • What if I send back a sealed box?

In case you want to return a sealed package you need to include a picture showing that the box is sealed with the original tape. This can only be done if you are returning the complete order and all boxes are sealed.

  • What will happen if I have no response before the 30-day return period?

Once you start your communication with us regarding a return request we stop counting the 30 days.
